Description:

From 1900 to 1907 only 74 units of this model were manufactured, and all units are found in the serial number range 1-74. The barrel has the two-line address/patent dates marking on the rib and "38 WINCHESTER CTG" marked on the left side. It has a correct 1 9/16 inch cylinder (unnumbered). The barrel and barrel latch are numbered to the gun, and names are hand marked on the inside of the grip panels. Provenance: The Dr. Gerald Klaz Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine as professionally refinished, retaining 99% plus of the nickel finish showing minimal handling marks. 98% vivid case colors remain on the hammer, and 95% plus of the blue finish remains on the barrel latch and trigger. The grips are good with a repaired right panel and worn checkering. Mechanically needs work as cylinder does not always rotate when action is cycled.
