Introduced in 1878. The barrel has the one-line address on the rib and "44 S&W CTG" on the left side. Caliber marked New Model No. 3s are rarely encountered. Matching serial numbers are on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, barrel, and barrel latch. Provenance: The Dr. Gerald Klaz Collection
Fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with the grip straps mostly a smooth gray patina, some high edge wear and some thinning to brown. There are a few patches of pitting mostly on the cylinder and minor scratches. 20% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The grips are good with an absent sliver (right panel), some minor dings and some blemishes in the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
