Manufactured in 1980. Dual white bead sights on the vented rib, 2 3/4" chambers with ejectors, and modified/full chokes. The coin finished frame has full coverage engraving with matte backed scrollwork on all sides. Gold inlaid borders around the raised relief gold duck scenes of a pair of mallards in flight over a wetland on the right, two mallards alighting on the left, a bust of the mallard head on the trigger guard, and one mallard taking off and one in flight on the underside. "AMERICAN MALLARD ANAS PLATYRHYNCHOS/248 of 500" is also marked in gold on the underside. Beautifully figured fancy checkered walnut forend and round knob pistol grip stock with engraved fittings and skip-line checkered bare butt. This shotgun is collector serialized with the previous and following lots. Includes the original factory box and hardwood display case with shipping box. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original finishes, limited handling evidence, some areas with minor dried grease, and sharp checkering on the wood. The box is very good and the case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
