Originally manufactured by H&K as a semi-automatic rifle, this item was given two rounds of upgrades. A full auto conversion was performed by Fleming Firearms, and the arm was reconfigured to the HK23E pattern by Michael's Machines of Edwardsville, Illinois. Taken in total, these upgrades have turned the weapon into the very image of a factory made squad automatic weapon, with integrated belt feed and quick release barrel hardware for maximum volume of fire, loaded into a compact and reasonably light package. Hooded post front and dial adjustable peep rear sight, with a vented barrel shroud, mounted folding bipod, integral optics block, folding carry handle and a forward assist/quiet closure mechanism. The trigger assembly is configured to fit into a receiver socket, with a fully functional four position "pin" group (safe, semi, three round burst, and full auto), ambidextrous switch, and pictogram style markings. The pistol grip is textured, with a "club foot" style buttstock and rubber recoil pad.
Very fine, with 98% of the factory quality matte finish, showing mild wear and handling marks overall. The barrel shows light scuffs. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
