Outstanding Consecutively Numbered Pair of 1945 Dated World War II German Occupation Norwegian Kongsberg Model 1914 Semi-Automatic Pistols

A) Norwegian Kongsberg Model 1914 Semi-Automatic Pistol

These very scarce and desirable pistols were a modified copy of the U.S. Model 1911 pistol intended to be supplied to the Norwegian Army until the capture of the Kongsberg plant by the Germans in 1940, designating this model "Pistole 657(n)". Following the end of World War II, these pistols were never manufactured again. Some pistols were assembled following the end of the war from the components remaining in the factory. These examples are dated "1945" on the right of the slide with the one-line "Waffenamt/11.25mm AUT. PISTOL M 1914 No. Serial Number" with the later Kongsberg crest on the left. The pistols are fitted with the later style black stained, checkered, double diamond holly grips. Both pistols have only one inspection mark found behind the rear sight. Matching serial numbers on frame, slide, trigger, safety, mainspring housing, grip safety, slide stop and barrel.

ConditionExcellent, retaining 98% original phosphate finish with handling marks. Grips are very fine with spots of worn checkering and dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
