Manufactured in 1978 and subsequently masterfully embellished by "engraver to the stars" and renaissance man, Joseph Condon (1929-1993). Besides engraving, Condon was a commercial artist, amateur heavyweight boxing champion, stunt driver, magician, custom jeweler, holster designer, stock maker, escape artist, and health club manager. Some of his celebrity clients included Sammy Davis, Jr., Red Skelton, Buddy Hackett, and Elvis Presley. In the fall of 2019 we offered a revolver owned by Sammy Davis Jr. that was engraved by Condon that sold for $19,550. This revolver features 75% coverage American style floral scroll engraving with gold inlaid bands at the muzzle and rear of the cylinder, gold inlaid Rampant Colt on the left of the frame, and is fitted with a scrimshawed grip featuring bald eagles on each side. "CONDON" is stamped on each of the grip straps under the grip.

Excellent as masterfully embellished by Joseph Condon, retaining 99% blue finish and gold inlays with some scattered light handling marks and a very light cylinder drag line. The grips are also excellent with a few hairline age lines in the butt, a few very light handling marks, and crisp scrimshaw work. Mechanically excellent.
