Description:
Manufactured from 1874 to 1878. The barrel rib legend ends with "RUSSIAN MODEL." The cylinder, barrel and barrel latch are unnumbered. The left side of the grip panel features a relief carved Mexican eagle.
Rating Definition:
Very fine. The barrel and frame retain 90% original blue finish and the cylinder retains original blue finish in the flutes with the balance a smooth brown patina. Patterns of original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The grips are also very fine with a few typical hairline age lines, attractive color and grain and crisp carving. Mechanically excellent.
