Blued steel, matted rib barrels with blade front and two leaf rear sight marker "50" and "100" with platinum center lines. The left barrel is mark "P. WEBLEY & SON.," and the right is marked "78 SHAFTESBURY AVENUE. LONDON". The receiver and locks are casehardened and are lightly scroll engraved with "P. WEBLEY & SON" marked on each lock, which are fitted with rebounding hammers and double triggers. The barrels are opened by a rotary underlever with matching light scroll. The water table is marked "9/2" along with standard London proofs from between 1875 and 1887. Fine as period refinished, retaining strong traces of the blue finish with the remainder an attractive plum patina. The receiver and locks show traces of case colors with the remainder a mix of grey and brown patinas. The wood is good with a few chips, decaying buttpad, and worn checkering. Mechanically excellent.
