Manufactured in 1939. Currently in smoothbore configuration. Dovetail front and elevation adjustable rear sight with the left side of the barrel having the Winchester legend and the right side having the two line address. Winchester factory style oval proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver. Blank upper tang and serial number on lower tang. Smooth straight grip stock with checkered plastic Winchester buttplate and 10 groove forearm. Includes a period box renumbered to the gun.

Very fine, retaining 95% plus original blue finish on the frame with moderate slide retraction wear. The barrel is refinished with pitting visible under the finish. The wood is also very fine with a ding on the slide handle, otherwise minimal minor handling marks. Box is fine with storage and handling marks as well as a tear in one side of the lid. Mechanically excellent.
