This is an excellent example of a Winchester Model 70 Super Grade bolt action rifle that was manufactured in 1948. Hooded ramp front sight and adjustable rear sight. Standard barrel markings with the early style caliber marking "300 MAGNUM", Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, top of receiver factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting with filler screws in place, matching numbered bolt, floor plate marked "-SUPER GRADE-". Nice deluxe early straight-comb walnut pistol grip stock with checkering, super grade raised cheek rest, deluxe sling swivels and rubber buttplate. Provenance: The Dr. Robert Azar Collection

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with some light handling marks and freckling on the polished bolt body. Stock is also excellent with some light scattered dings, handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
