Manufactured in 1947. Features hooded beaded blade front and adjustable rear sights, offset Winchester oval proofs, top of front receiver ring matted on top, and transitional safety. Mounted to a multi-point checkered walnut stock with blued steel buttplate. The Model 70 in .22 Hornet was achieved by the factory affixing an internal box style magazine in the magazine well fitted with a plate to fill the gap behind on a standard length action. The bolt face was also uniquely made to accept and hold the rimmed casing.
