Blued Acciao Special steel barrel marked "CUSTOM CRAFTED BY MANIFATTURA ARMI PERAZZI" on the right and "ITHACA GUN COMPANY - ITHACA - NEW YORK/12 GA. 2 3/4 CHAMBER - MADE IN ITALY" on the left with white bead front and mid sights on a raised Simmons ventilated rib, Perazzi choke tube system (5 installed), and automatic ejector. Blued and stainless action with an floral motif on the barrel release, single non-selective trigger, and manual safety. Mounted on a straight grain, multipoint checkered walnut beavertail forend and pistol grip stock with Anson release and ventilated Perazzi recoil pad. Includes takedown case containing three twelve gauge choke tubes (marked 6, 9, and 7), an incompatible .410 bore choke tube, and a choke wrench. George Archer (1939-2005) was a professional golfer who, in 1969, won the PGA Masters Tournament. From 1980 to 1989 Archer held the PGA record for least number of putts over four rounds, setting the record at 94 putts. Because of this feat, he is recognized as one of golf's greatest putters to date. Besides his win at the Masters in 1969, Archer won 13 PGA tournaments in his career. Per the consignor, Archer competed in 999 professional golf tournaments in his lifetime. Excellent, retaining 95% original blue finish with a few minor handling marks. Wood is very good with handling marks, a few minor dings, and crisp checkering. The safety needs adjustment otherwise mechanically excellent. Case is very good with storage and handling marks.
