Manufactured in 1918 with standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The special order, 26 inch, part octagon barrel is fitted with blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights, and the rifle is in takedown configuration. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Very fine, retains 70% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on the upper edges of the receiver, around the takedown collar, and on the buttplate. The refinished wood is fine with a few scattered minor dings and retains almost all of the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
