Description:

The accompanying factory letter confirms the 8 inch barrel, blue finish and smooth walnut grips. The revolver was shipped on December 12, 1872 and delivered to M.W. Robinson Co., New York City. This shipment was for 60 Russian Models and 140 American Models. The barrel rib legend ends with "RUSSIAN MODEL." The right grip panel is numbered to the gun. Matching assembly marks are on the grip frame, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch. This revolver is from the collection of world famous American country singer and song writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes a certificate of authenticity confirming his ownership as well as the aforementioned factory letter, which is addressed to him. Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 40% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina with some mostly light pitting. 30% original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger guard. The grips are very good with minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
