William Hole of Bristol was a gunsmith in 1811-1844. The barrels have the post-1816 Birmingham proofs flanking the additional "tombstone" mark and blade front sights. The locks are signed "WILLIAM HOLE/BRISTOL" in individually stamped letters. The furniture is brass. There is some light engraving mainly of floral patterns. The stocks are plainly finished.
Very fine overall with light aged patina on the brass, mostly bright lock with light patina, most of the glossy finish on the otherwise fine stock, and generally minimal overall wear primarily consisting of dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
