Description:

Manufactured in 1939, this pistol was subsequently delivered to the British in the beginning of World War II. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line address and patent dates while the right side bears the caliber marking along with the Rampant Colt. The serial number is on the right of the frame, the left of the trigger guard is marked "P" over "VP", and the right of the trigger guard is marked "69". British "crown/GP" proofs are visible on the frame and slide. The barrel is marked "38", "8.95", "6GR.", and "NC-130" on the exposed chamber area. Fitted with blade and notch rear sights, wide checkered hammer, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, checkered grips, and a two-tone .38 Super Auto magazine. Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with extensive scratches and light handling marks scattered throughout with light edge wear. The grips are very good with some minor handling marks and moderately worn, mostly well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
