Excellent Brno Persian Contract Model 98/29 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle with Matching Bayonet

Manufactured in Czechoslovakia under military contract for the Persian (Iranian) military. Semi-hooded blade front and adjustable tangent rear sights with the rear sight graduations marked in Farsi, Persian/Iranian national crest on the receiver ring, and transliterated serial number: 008754, which is repeated on the right of the stock. Finely figured smooth pistol grip stock with grasping grooves and flat steel buttplate. Includes a bayonet numbered to the gun and a scabbard. Provenance: The Buckstix Collection

ConditionExcellent, as issued, retains 99% plus of the original blue finish and the bolt is bright with only the slightest scattered handling marks. The wood is also excellent with a few scattered minor dings and scratches and crisp markings. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is also excellent with 98% blue on the scabbard, minimal handling evidence, and the grips wrapped in greased storage paper.
