Imported in 1966 by Golden State Arms, one of the first importers of the early HK G3 and HK41 rifles. Hooded post front and 4-position drum rear sights, standard markings and "4/66" date on the left side of the magazine well, trigger group marked "MADE IN GERMANY FOR/SANTA FE DIVISION/GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORPORATION/PASADENA-CALIFORNIA-U.S.A./CAL. 7,62 mm NATO", later style "S/F" marked trigger group with welded tabs (to prevent the installation of an automatic trigger group) and functional flapper magazine release, ventilated and fluted handguard, textured pistol grip, and fixed buttstock with ribbed buttplate. Numbers match on receiver, trigger housing, buttstock, bolt, and bolt carrier. Magazine absent.
Very fine overall, retaining 95% original phosphate finish with some handling marks and a circular selector drag line. Mechanically excellent.
