Colt Texas Rangers Commemorative Single Action Army Revolver with Case, Book, and Badge

Standard markings and features. The idea of the Texas Ranger Commemorative Colt Single Action Army revolver was conceived by Charles Schreiner III and Robert B. "Bob" Berryman in 1969 and production began in 1970 with a total of 1,000 manufactured. Serial numbers 1TR to 200TR were reserved for the deluxe engraved examples. Each revolver came with a special commemorative glass-top presentation case and a lucite-encased genuine carved Mexican 5-peso silver coin Texas Ranger badge, as well as a copy of the book "A Pictorial History of the Texas Rangers (Schreiner & Berryman, 1969). This revolver bears the ending serial number '1000TR' of the production run making it quite unique and desirable. Included are the two-drawer display case, a copy of "A Pictorial History of the Texas Rangers", the Texas Ranger badge as described above and the cardboard shipping carton. Provenance: The Robert B. “Bob” Berryman Estate Collection

ConditionExcellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and silver finishes and case colors with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with a few minor storage and handling marks.
