The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 2 inch barrel with full blue finish and smooth rosewood grips with gold Rampant Colt medallions (likely a factory error as .45LC cylinder, screws, cylinder pin and grip medallions are nickel) cased in an oak case fitted for the set of five guns and gold sheriff's badge inscribed "Colt Sheriff's Edition 1987". When it was shipped to Stacy Williams Company Birmingham, Alabama on November 22, 1987. The second digit of the assembly number "744" on the nickel cylinder appears to have a double stamped numeral "4" over a numeral "9". "744 is repeated on both grip panels and rear of the frame. Currently the revolver is housed in a glass top case fitted for a 3 inch barrel length sheriff's model as well as an extra blued .45 ACP cylinder and the aforementioned gold badge. With a Sherriff's Edition Colt box renumbered to the gun. Provenance: The Buckstix Collection

Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue and nickel finish with limited handling marks and a faint cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with storage and handling marks and a few scattered dings.
