Receiver originally manufactured in 1888, this rifle was subsequently professionally custom upgraded to deluxe configuration and embellished with near full coverage floral scroll and panel scene engraving. The right side of the receiver features flourishes of floral scroll with a bison scene on the left surrounded by floral scroll. There is a "W" on the receiver ring and "MR" monogram on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a combination blade/globe front sight and a three-leaf express rear sight and a flourish of floral scroll engraving on the barrel at the breech. Mounted with a finely figured, "H" pattern checkered, forearm and pistol grip stock with a cheek piece, sling swivel studs, and leather covered recoil pad.

Very fine as professionally custom upgraded to current configuration and engraved, retains 98% plus of the blue and casehardened finishes with some very light takedown wear on the magazine tube and only the slightest handling marks. The wood is also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
