Receiver originally manufactured in 1889, this rifle was subsequently professionally custom upgraded to deluxe configuration and embellished with near full coverage floral scroll and panel scene engraving. The right side of the receiver features a buck scene with a bison on the left, both surrounded by floral scroll. There is a Winchester oval proof on the receiver ring. It is fitted with a combination blade/globe front sight and a three-leaf express rear sight and a flourish of floral scroll engraving on the barrel at the breech. Mounted with a finely figured, "H" pattern checkered, forearm and pistol grip stock with a cheek piece, sling swivel studs, and leather covered recoil pad.

Very fine as professionally custom upgraded to current configuration and engraved, retains 98% plus of the blue and casehardened finishes with some very light takedown wear on the magazine tube and only the slightest handling marks. The wood is also very fine with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically functions, but slightly stiff.
