Receiver originally manufactured in 1894, this rifle was subsequently professionally custom upgraded to deluxe configuration and embellished with near full coverage floral scroll and panel scene engraving. The right side of the receiver features a bison scene with a grizzly bear on the left, both surrounded by floral scroll. There is a Winchester oval proof on the receiver ring. It is fitted with a combination blade/globe front sight and a three-leaf express rear sight and a flourish of floral scroll engraving on the barrel at the breech. Mounted with a finely figured, "H" pattern checkered, forearm and pistol grip stock with a cheek piece, sling swivel studs, and leather covered recoil pad.
