Description:

Unmarked percussion cane gun featuring a painted metal shaft/barrel meant to resemble bamboo. The wood ferrule functions as a removable three piece wood ramrod and cleaning rod. Loading is done from the bottom of the cane/muzzle end with powder, patch and ball. To cock, the round knob on top is pulled upwards, functioning as a spring-loaded percussion hammer. The handle on the top end of the cane is utilized as a grip and the second round knob below functions as a trigger, able to be pulled back for firing. Provenance: The Larry Mattson Collection

Rating Definition:

Fine overall with some light scattered chips on the shaft, period appropriate wear, and dark patina on the metal surfaces. Mechanically fine.
