Late 19th Century German Triumph Center-Fire Cartridge Gun Cane

Late 19th century Triumph center-fire cartridge gun cane. Horn grips on the steel handle containing the trigger and firing pin mechanism. Wood shaft with carved thorns. German "crown/U" and "crown/S" proofed at the collar. Opens at the breech end by turning the handle to the left to release the two locking lugs, allowing removal of the trigger mechanism and access for loading of a center-fire cartridge. Provenance: The Larry Mattson Collection

ConditionFine overall with some light handling marks and gray patina on the metal surfaces. Grips are also fine with some light handling marks and a 1 inch crack on the bottom of the right grip. Mechanically excellent.
