Blued "NICKEL STEEL" marked barrels with single steel bead sight on the smooth, concave solid rib which is marked "C. G. BONEHILL. MAKER. BIRMINGHAM", floral engraving at the breeches and rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, choke constrictions of .011/.042 inches, and London reproofs dated 1992. The casehardened sidelock action features near full coverage English rose & scroll engraving, nitre blue screws, beautifully carved fences, single non-selective trigger, and tang mounted automatic safety switch with gold inlaid "SAFE". Beautiful, highly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and an Anson button release and straight grip stock with teardrop flats, blank inscription oval, and engraved heel and toe plates over the checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 inch drop at heel; 14 5/16 inch length of pull; weight 7 lbs.

Very fine, retaining 99% professionally reapplied blue on the barrels, mostly silvered case colors with traces in some of the protected areas, nitre blue screw heads, light handling evidence, and sharp recut checkering on the stock and forend. The trigger guard has a mottled blue finish with some loss of engraving definition. Mechanically excellent.
