The barrel set also bears floral scroll engraving at the muzzle and a pair of 2 3/4 inch wedges over the chambers and gold inlaid "12" on the rib at the breech. The barrel set is numbered "21581". The coin finished action displays simple but elegant floral scroll engraving bordered by a fine gold line and gold inlaid model marking on the underside. The action features a single selective trigger and tang mounted safety switch. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with Deeley latch release and engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with right hand palm swell and ventilated Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. Includes a factory takedown case containing three extra 28 inch barrel sets with vent ribs in .410 bore, 28 gauge, and 20 gauge, all of which are indicated by gold inlaid markings on the rib and have matching serial number to the 12 gauge set. Barrel measurements for the 20 gauge set (U/O): chambers marked 76 mm (3 inches); bore diameter 9 inches from the breech both proved at 15.8 mm (.622 inches) and measured at .620/.621 inches; choke constriction .006/.006 inches; minimum wall thickness .049/.042 inches. Barrel measurements for the .410 bore set: chambers marked 76 mm (3 inches). Barrel and stock measurements for the 12 gauge set (U/O): bore diameter 9 inches from the breech proofed st 18.7/18.6 mm (.736/.732 inches) and measured at .735/.733 inches; interchangeable chokes (both marked "0"); minimum wall thickness .047/.048 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 1 7/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 8 lbs 8 oz.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, coin, and gold finishes, limited handling evidence, and sharp checkering on the wood. The case is very fine and the extra barrel sets are all excellent. Mechanically excellent.
