This muzzle loading line throwing cannon, also referred to as a Lyle gun, was manufactured by Sculler Safety Corporation. It has a 28 inch long iron barrel with a 2 1/2 inch bore. The front of the muzzle is stamped "SCULLER GUN 3712 TJC MMI PCT", and the brass plaque at the breech is marked "SCULLER/SAFETY CORP/No 3712/122 BROAD STREET/NEW YORK". The address is also on the left of the carriage in raised cast letters, with the company name on the right. Includes one weighted line projectile.

Very good with applied black paint and some areas of corrosion. The projectile has deep pitting on the weighted end.
