This is a scarce example of a Krieghoff "S" code German P.08 Luger that was manufactured in limited quantities for the Luftwaffe. This Luger is marked with the "S" code over the chamber which was the code indicating manufacture circa early 1936. The pistol is an early "B2" variation marked "H (anchor) K/SUHL" on the toggle. The full serial number is marked on the front of the frame and the left side of the receiver, with the final 3 digits on the breech block and the final 2 digits on multiple components. The Krieghoff "eagle/2" proofed sideplate carrier the number "13" below proof internally and "87" externally, which together equals the full serial number "1387". The right side of the barrel extension is marked with the large "Eagle/2" Luftwaffe acceptance mark followed by the Luftwaffe test proof and small "Eagle/2" proof. The underside of the barrel is marked only with the bore and the "Eagle/2" proof. The left side of the breech block is marked with the test proof and the parts stamp. The parts stamp is also present on the underside of the toggle link. The grips are checkered walnut and are not numbered or proofed. The replacement magazine has a blued body with aluminum base that is numbered "2026/k" and has an "eagle/63" proof. With a black leather "cxb/41" holster and an extra replacement magazine.

Fine, with 60% plus original blue finish, showing bright edge wear and mild spotting overall. The grip straps show a mixed gray color, with heavier pitting present. 50% of the original straw colors remain. The grips are very good, with a mended chip on the left panel near the safety lever and mild dings and dents. The holster is good, with cracking and scuffing, as well as a replaced closure strap. Mechanically excellent.
