Included as well is a 1985 dated letter to Hank Williams Jr. from a retired Springfield, Massachusetts police captain who was representing the widow of the original purchaser, a Springfield resident himself, offering a number of S&W revolvers that were still in new-old stock condition in their original boxes, originally purchased 30 years earlier in 1955 and had never left Springfield. With this letter is an inventory list with descriptions and serial numbers of the guns being offered. Offered in this sale is a second S&W Model of 1950 Target Revolver, no. S118232, that was also acquired by Hank Williams Jr. at the same time. All matching numbers and complete in the original gray box with full tool kit, including knurled screwdriver and warranty card. Provenance: The Hank Williams Jr.'s Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original bright blue finish, limited handling evidence, light cylinder drag line, and sharp grip checkering. The box is very fine with some light wear and fading. Mechanically excellent.
