Manufactured in 1932 with standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Fitted with pinned blade front and elevation adjustable notch rear sights. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate. Includes letters from John Fox, the Northwestern National Military Museum & Foundation, and John J. Malloy, all describing the carbine as in its exceptional original configuration. Also includes a 2010 dated letter from the ATF stating that the carbine has been deemed a Curio & Relic and removed from the provisions of the NFA. This carbine is listed by serial number by the BATFE as exempt from the National Firearms Act and classified as a "curio or relic" in the "Curios or Relics List."
Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with the balance thinning to a smooth brown or grey patina, primarily on the left side of the receiver and buttplate. The wood is fine with some scattered minor dings and vertical scratches. Mechanically excellent.
