Description:

This is a Germanic/Dutch style musket, but these were also used by several European countries. The barrel is octagon to round with a gradual transition and has blade and notch sights. The large lock plate has a "crown/I.P" mark near the tail. "XI" is marked inside the lock mortise, and the right side of the butt is branded with a bear. The stock has simple sheet iron bands near the forend tip and a sheet iron trigger guard with bend design at the rear.

Rating Definition:

Fine with mostly light gray patina, some light pitting, and general mild scratches and dings. The stock is also fine and has some cracks and repairs, mild dings and scratches, and a spliced lower section on the butt. Mechanically fine.
