George Moller's notes listed this as an "Ansbach-Bayreuth musket circa 1730-1750, French modified circa 1801-03." It has a bayonet stud on the bottom near the muzzle, no sights, "No 6235" on top of the barrel, "6235" on the left stock flat, a coat of arms mark on top at the breech, a "MW/hen" maker's mark on the banana shaped lock behind the frizzen spring, modern leather sling, and a socket bayonet.
