This excellent Dixon manufactured powder flask is for a Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver as well as the Model 1855 .38 and .31 caliber Roots. The top is marked "COLTS POCKET FLASK" along with the three-line Dixon address. The three position charger is marked "4/8", "3/8," and "2/8." The top and collar are gilt, the spring is nitre blue, and the body has a red-brown lacquer finish. A lanyard ring is mounted on the base. These bag shape flasks were provided by Colt's London factory.

Excellent, retaining 97% plus of the original lacquer, gilt and nitre blue finishes showing very minimal handling marks. A high condition accessory to finish your Colt Pocket Model or Root revolver set.
