Description:

One of the most rare and desirable Top-Break S&Ws, the factory letter confirms the 5 inch barrel, nickel finish and checkered black hard rubber grips on this rare Model 1891. According to the Jinks letter, the revolver was shipped on August 31, 1910 and delivered to Belknap Hardware Co., Louisville, Kentucky. The right grip panel is numbered to another gun. Matching serial numbers are on butt, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 98% original nickel plating with limited faint flaking. Traces of original case colors remain on the trigger guard, and 98% original case colors remain on the hammer. The grips are also excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. An outstanding addition to any collection of antique S&W models.
