Manufactured from 1865 to 1868. Engraved No. 1 1/2 First Issues are quite scarce, this example features fine detail New York floral scrollwork along with floral borders. The right grip panel is numbered to the gun, and matching assembly numbers are on the grip frame, barrel and cylinder. The M. W. Robinson period distribution case contains a cartridge block holding 40 rounds and a cleaning rod.
Excellent, retaining 95% original nickel plating with crisp engraving. Period drilled on the butt with a filler screw occupying a lanyard loop location, plus additional threaded hole for some type of attachable device. The grips are excellent with a few typical age lines and attractive color and grain. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine showing minor handling/storage marks and typical high spot wear and repair to the lining.
