Description:

Features a bayonet stud on top, brass upper and lower barrel bands, iron middle band with sling ring, second sling ring mounted in the stud through the trigger guard finial, scroll engraved lock and brass furniture, nicely figured stock with raised flats, and "GDM" marked ahead of the toe. Includes a socket bayonet. Provenance: The George Moller Collection

Rating Definition:

Good as reconverted to flintlock configuration with dark brown patina along the barrel, mild pitting at the vent, some braised repairs on the muzzle and frizzen, applied artificial brown finish on the lock, aged patina on the brass furniture, repaired cracks in the trigger guard tang, and moderate overall wear. The bayonet is fair with heavy oxidation/pitting and some chips. The stock is fine and has nice figure on the buttstock, some small chips and cracks, and minor dings and scratches. Mechanically fine.
