Single steel bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, marked "VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD" and "U. S. AGENTS, NEW-YORK", light engraving at the breech end, standard Belgian proofs, and chambers measured 2 1/2 inches with single extractor. The casehardened boxlock action displays scroll engraving covering much of the surface, oak leaf engraving on the fences, and "A. FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE/LIEGE BELGIUM" marked on either side. The gun features double triggers and an automatic tang mounted safety. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Anson button release and pistol grip stock with serrated hard rubber buttplate. Very good as refurbished, retaining 90% blue finish on the barrel and trigger guard. The action has been polished bright with some dimpling and mild handling evidence. The wood is also very good, showing scattered dings and scratches and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
