Manufactured in 1970. Blued Bohler Stahl barrels with single brass bead sight on the matted vent rib, standard Merkel markings, chambers marked 70 mm (2 3/4 inch) with automatic ejectors, and choke constrictions measured .004/.005 inches (improved cylinder/improved cylinder). The casehardened bolstered boxlock action displays light floral scroll engraving and features a single selective trigger and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered three-piece forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 6 lbs 9 oz.
Excellent, retaining 98% original blue finish with light wear at the muzzle, 98% original case colors, scattered minor spotting, and minor handling evidence. The wood is very good with scattered light dings and scratches, small chip on the right of the forend, and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
