Manufactured in 1926 on the desirable 000 frame. Blued steel barrels with white mid-bead sight (front bead absent) on the matted, concave solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL.", standard markings on the flats and lumps, and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened boxlock action displays the standard DHE Grade engraving, showing a pointer on the left, a setter on the right, and a flock of pheasants on the underside along with "PARKER BROS." banners on either side all surrounded by floral scrollwork. The gun features a single trigger with tang mounted manual safety switch. Lightly figured, fancy multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release and round knob pistol grip stock with blank inscription oval and steel skeleton buttplate over the checkered bare butt. The above configuration is confirmed on page 545 of "Parker Gun Identification & Serialization" by Price and Fjestad. These shotguns are very rare with only 59 being produced in this combination of gauge, barrel length, and barrel steel according to the table page 291 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote. This gun is made even rarer by the factory single trigger which was present on only 3% of DHE Grade guns, meaning this may be one of as few as two in this particular configuration. Stock measurements: 1 7/8 inch drop at comb; 3 1/16 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 5 lbs 11 oz.

Very fine, retaining 98% original blue finish on the barrels with 85% on the trigger guard, 50% original case colors with the balance an attractive silver patina, some discoloration on the under rib, and light handling evidence. The wood is also very fine with a few dents and scratches, some excess varnish, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Do not miss out on a chance to own this very rare Parker Brothers shotgun!
