The Colt frame was manufactured in 1918 and subsequently fitted with a World War II-era Remington-Rand manufactured slide. It was also fitted with a 1911A1 style short milled trigger and long grip safety. The left of the slide has the two-line Remington-Rand address, eagle head proof on the left of the frame, and standard U.S. property marking on the right of the frame over the serial number. The right of the trigger guard is marked with a circled "S", noted as being a mark used by gunsmith R.F. Sedgley. Fitted with reinforced grips and an unmarked blued magazine. Includes a U.S. "SEARS/1942" marked leather holster, a "1917" dated Mills dual magazine pouch, and two extra magazines.
Fine, retains 85% plus of the arsenal refurbished parkerized finish with the balance thinning to a smooth grey patina, primarily on edges and the mainspring housing. The later production replacement grips are also fine with some light blemishes in the mostly crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster and magazine pouch are both fine with some mild wear.
