Description:

A refinement of the Model 620, the Model 620A was acquired in lower quantities by the U.S. government compared to the Model 620 and 520-30 shotguns. The matching numbered barrel is fitted with a single bead sight and a 2 3/4 inch chamber, with a series of "*" stamps, a partial "flaming bomb" and a "P" added at the breech, along with the standard address and model markings. The receiver is struck "P/flaming bomb" and "U.S." on the left side. Sharply checkered forearm and pistol grip stock, with an empty sling swivel hole, serrated buttplate, and a 13 3/4 inch length of pull.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing some rubbing on the barrel ahead of the magazine, a mixed brown and gray patina on the magazine tube, bright edge wear and light handling marks. The checkering appears to have been recut, with some minor chips, dings and scuffs overall. Mechanically excellent.
