U.S. Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Semi-Automatic Carbine

"RIA" blade front and "S" two-leaf rear sights, with a "4-43" dated Inland barrel and an unmarked Type II barrel band. Blued "*U*" flat top bolt, milled "N/16" trigger housing, unmarked button safety, "W" magazine catch, "IN" hammer and a "DA-Q" operating rod. The main stock body is of the two -rivet, low wood configuration, with a "RMC" handguard, "crossed cannons" on the right side of the grip, "R.I./3" on the bottom, leather cheekpad with steel rivets, tan canvas sling, and swiveling spring-loaded buttplate with proper casting marks. Provenance: The George Moller Collection

ConditionFine as assembled to current configuration, with 80% of the arsenal parkerized finish, showing some bright rubbing on the barrel, mild edge wear and light handling marks. A few dings and dents are present on the rear sight. A small crack is forming on the interior of the upper handguard; otherwise, the stock is in very good condition, with some cracking of the leather and mild scuffs and dings overall. Mechanically excellent.
