A takedown variant of the Type 99 Arisaka designed to be carried disassembled by paratroopers when jumping and then put together on the ground. Features blade front and folding rear sights with anti-aircraft wings, ground mum on the receiver, "611" assembly numbered stock irons and barrel, smooth pistol grip stock with cupped buttplate, and the matching partial serial number on the bayonet lug, barrel lug, and bolt components. Includes a Nagoya marked bayonet.
Fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing a brown patina in the grind spot (on the chamber where the mum was ground off), patches of lighter gray elsewhere, scattered light handling marks, and some mild oxidization. The stock is also fine, with a number of dents and scuffs. The bayonet is fair, with rough wood and spotting on the blade. Mechanically excellent.
