The Norwegian Kongsberg Model 1914 was a slightly modified copy of the U.S. Model 1911 pistol used by the Norwegian Army. These pistols are nearly identical to the Colt Model 1911. This Model 1914 features an undated slide. The left side of the slide is marked with the later model 1914 caliber, model, and two digit serial number marking with "SVA" above. This pistol was manufactured by Skole Og Verkstedavdelingen Army Ordnance Technical School as a training exercise for their armorers in the 1950s. It is one of fifty produced by SVA. Matching serial numbers found on frame, slide, trigger, mainspring housing, and grip safety. Includes informational plaque and factory letter giving information about the pistol as well. This pistol is listed by serial number in "Kongsberg-Colten" by Karl Egil Hanevik on page 148. It is also photographed on page 140 of the same book.
Excellent overall, retaining 95% original blue finish with some minor scattered handling marks. The grips are also excellent with sharp checkering and only the slightest amount of finish loss on the right grip. Mechanically excellent.
