These enormous and powerful revolvers were manufactured in Evansville, Indiana, in the 1970s and 1980s by Century Arms and then Century Manufacturing. It has a dovetailed blade front sight on a ramped base, adjustable rear sight, "45-70" cut through the blue on the left side of the barrel, "Century Mfg, Inc./-EVANSVILLE,IND-" on the left side of the frame, the serial number on the bottom of the frame, "Model 100" on the right side of the frame, and a safety on the left above the trigger. Includes a wood case and three dummy rounds of .45-70 ammunition. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration when shipped to M&M Sporting Goods in Milwaukee, WI. on September 11, 1981 as well as remarking that it was shipped in a consecutive pair. Very fine, retaining 99% plus blue finish with a light cylinder drag line. The frame and grip straps are taking on an age darkened appearance. Grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with storage and handling marks.
