Manufactured after 1906. Features Lyman hooded blade front and elevation adjustable peep tang sight with a Redfield rear sight dovetail block mounted on the half octagon barrel and three quarter magazine. Standard Model 97 markings on the barrel and late style receiver. Mounted on a wonderfully figured smooth rifle forend and pistol grip buttstock. Matching numbers are marked on the receiver, partial number "956" on the upper tang below the wood, and in the stock inlet. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection
