Manufactured in 1893. Standard two-line address in front of the rear sight and "45-90 W.C.F." on the top of the barrel at the breech, model designation on the upper tang, and two-line patent marking and serial number on the lower tang. Fitted with combination front, elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, and tang mounted peep sights. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection
Very good, showing a mixture of traces of the original blue with a plum-brown patina, and dark patterns of the original case colors with the balance mostly a brown-grey patina and some patches of mild oxidation and light pitting scattered throughout. The wood is also very good with a minor chip in the right and significant gouge in the left of the forearm, and otherwise some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
