Description:

The included factory letter lists this rifle as being 32 caliber with a round barrel measuring 24 inches and shipment dates of September 1, 1892 as well as May 19 1894. It is fitted with German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights, standard Marlin markings, and plain walnut forend and straight grain buttstock. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining 75% plus original blue finish on the barrel and magazine tube with the balance thinned to a smooth brown and gray patina as well as a few freckles of oxidation at the muzzle end. The frame retains 30% blue with the balance a brown patina. Wood is fine as revarnished with scattered scratches and dings and one deep scratch on the left side of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
