Manufactured 1922-1938. Features beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable notch rear sights on the octagon barrel with two line Marlin Firearms Corporation legend and caliber marking at the frame on the top left barrel flat. Casehardened takedown receiver with "Marlin/MOD. 39" marking on upper tang. Fitted with a plain walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Very fine, retaining 85% original blue finish and 75% case colors with a smooth gray brown patina on the balance, scattered minor handling marks, and freckles of light pitting on the left side. Wood is fine with scattered minor dings and scratches and a hairline age crack on the left side of the forearm. Mechanically excellent.
